      UNDERGRADUATE QUESTIONS

      Common questions, answered directly.

What students ask us most about bachelor's degrees abroad.

      Ask a counsellor →
How long is a bachelor's degree abroad?

Most bachelor's degrees take 3 to 4 years, depending on the country and course. Scotland and the USA commonly run 4-year degrees, while England, Australia and New Zealand are often 3 years.

What if my grades or English score are not high enough yet?

Many universities offer a foundation or pathway year that prepares you academically and in English, then leads into year one of your chosen degree. A counsellor can check if this suits your profile.

Do I need SAT, ACT or similar tests?

It depends on the country and university. UK, Australian, Canadian and most other undergraduate applications do not require SAT or ACT. Many US universities have made these tests optional, so check the requirement for your target universities.

How do I apply for undergraduate courses in the UK?

UK undergraduate applications are usually made through UCAS, where you can apply to several universities with one application and personal statement.

Can I change my subject during my bachelor's degree?

Some countries and universities allow this more easily than others, especially where the first year is broad before you specialise. Check the flexibility of a course before you apply if this matters to you.
