Country-specific documents.

These are added to the core list once you choose a destination.

Destination Country-specific documents Good to know

Visa and entry rules change often. We check the latest requirements with you before you apply.

PREPARE WELL

Small habits that avoid delays.

Most document problems are easy to prevent if you start early.

Do this

  • Check that your passport is valid for the period your destination requires
  • Keep clear, complete scans of every document in one folder
  • Make sure your name is spelled the same way on all documents
  • Ask referees for recommendation letters early
  • Start collecting documents well before your application deadline

Avoid this

  • Waiting until the last month to request transcripts or letters
  • Submitting blurry, cropped or partial scans
  • Using a generic Statement of Purpose for every university
  • Assuming every university asks for the same documents
  • Leaving country-specific items until after the offer arrives

DOCUMENT QUESTIONS

Common questions, answered directly.

What students ask us most about documents.

Ask a counsellor →
Do I need every document before I start applying?

No. You can start with an eligibility check and collect documents alongside it. Some items, such as the offer-based documents, only become available after you receive an offer.

Are the required documents the same for every university?

No. The core list is similar, but each university and course can ask for extra items. We confirm the exact list for your shortlist.

Do I need a work experience letter?

Work experience letters are usually needed for MBA and some postgraduate courses. They are generally not needed for bachelor's applications.

Which documents are asked for after I get an offer?

Items such as the acceptance or confirmation documents issued by the university are provided after you accept an offer. Each country calls them something different, and they are shown as country-specific items above.

Will you keep my documents safe?

We only ask for what your application needs, and your information is kept confidential. Send copies rather than originals unless a university specifically asks otherwise.
